I know that in a way it's more difficult for divorced singles, but what about never-married singles, some of whom have had sexual experience, and realized it was wrong?
I can speak and tell you that it IS possible. Despite the desire for both the physical pleasure and the emotional connection, it is possible to move forward in life. And once you fully take that step of giving up looking for it outside marriage, life can become much clearer.
Find someone you can talk to about this - be it a therapist, a rav, a mentor. Someone who has the wisdom to show you what you probably already know - a sexual encounter will not leave you feeling better about yourself in the long run - or even the short run.
I wish you the best of luck, and please remember - you ARE strong enough.
